This is the one I've been searchin for
My palette came today in a perfectly shiny silver box, inside which was a perfectly matte black box which slides out. For some reason I find this extra box so boogie. The palette itself is gorgeous mirrored black plastic, which feels weighty but not clunky. The palette fits quite neatly in my smallish little paws. The mirror is excellent and has just a slight stiffness to it so that it will stay up so you can set on your desk to do your makeup, if you don’t want to hold it, making it an excellent travel palette. The color story is nothing earth shattering, but the various shades are well thought out, with a nice balance between satin and matte, with one special shade that is a slightly foiled topper. I haven’t swatched the shades, but I did try them all out on my eyes (with Wayne’s beautiful brushes of course) and they are all really nice. I used the topper with a brush (dry) and my finger (not over glitter glue) and I was impressed at the payoff. It’s very shiny with tiny chunks of glitter, and even without glue, the glitter stays put and doesn’t fall out. (Some of the glitter transferred to my crease, but that is just life with hooded lids). The matte brown was plenty pigmented to do a quick crease in one step for me (MAC NC 20) and the black performed really well to darken the crease. I used a very light hand but there is no kick up or fall out so I gradually got a little more bold with the black. I’m going to do a full on smokey eye with this palette soon. The black also worked great over eye liner to smoke out a wing. (I didn’t buy the kohl pencils but I used a gel pot liner and went over it with black shadow). It’s not the blackest black in the universe but it really performs so well. I think the satin shades are nice, they give a bit of a sheen to the skin but can definitely be used anywhere on the eye without looking weird. I am 50 years old and not at all afraid of glitter and rainbow looks but you know sometimes you have to go to weddings or funerals or to work and you just want to look pretty and put together. This is a great palette for that, also as a base for wilder more colorful looks..Also the pan sizes are enormous. I used my blush and highlighter brushes and used one of the satin shades as a blush and another as a highlight. (Attached photo full face of Wayne Goss, including lipstick). Also did I mention that topper shade? I don’t actually have anything quite like it in my collection, even though I own three Pat McGrath mini palettes, they don’t have the topper. It is really shiny but it also sheers out so you can add a little glitz or a lot...I didn't NEED any of these colors, but having this all together in one BEAUTIFUL package that is sturdy and compact is a dream. This is the eye shadow palette I've tried and failed to build for myself a dozen times at great expense. The closest thing in my collection is the Charlotte Tilbury Original Instant Eye Palette which is discontinued, cost more and has a fraction of the product of Wayne’s palette. So yeah, this palette is great and honestly I think it’s the perfect palette that I’ve been searching for since I started collecting makeup.

First, I am sixty. The profile picture is recent (within the year). I have loved makeup since I was 16. I started with high-end, Lancome, Chanel. My first eyeshadow was Window Box Peaches from Elizabeth Arden. I've had to make adjustments over the years to compensate for my eyes sloping down a bit more, being a bit more hooded, and crepy under-eyes, but make-up makes the difference ... always has, always will. That's my past and present, fast-forward to Wayne Goss's first eye palette. I would expect nothing less than a neutral palette of quality eyeshadows, just like Versaci surely followed Coco Chanel with a little black dress. Get very creative later, but for now, let's start with a classic. Thank you, Wayne! The quality is excellent.

I absolutely love this palette, it will definitely be a staple in my makeup bag and one that I will reach for more than any other palette I own (including Tom Ford’s Cocoa Mirage). The formula is fantastic, effortless and so easy to work with, blends beautifully (the matte black impressively so), and the glitter topper is stunning. This palette is the little black dress of makeup palettes, a must-have classic.

I'm a huge Wayne Goss fan, and after the lipsticks, glosses and pencils, I knew that I would like this palette, but I was not prepared for how actually amazing this is! Don't be put off by the 6 colours, because they are amazing shades, each one blends absolutely perfectly into the others, they all go together for an almost infinite number of looks that can be created. The pans are huge! Quality wise this is one of the best palettes I've owned, it's right up there with Pat McGrath and the other high end luxury brands, but at a much more affordable price point. I'll be keeping myself ready for Wayne's future palettes, and recommend this palette to EVERYONE!

With the exception of the black eye shadow, all are creamy! The glitter shade has tons of tiny glitter and although no fallout, it does spread and is just a wash of color with glitter. I could totally do without and would rather have a duo chrome instead. Sorry but glitter on my slightly hooded eyes isn’t my thing. The black shade is medium, sheet but hard to really blend with the other colors/ deepen to get that deep brown look. It has no fallout which is awesome and a little goes a long way. I can still use it and like that I have black as an option. I am a huge fan of WG and have his brushes and lipsticks. What really makes me want to give low stars is the packaging. It’s not fair that I dropped so much money and practically need pliers to open it. I’m not kidding ...mine isn’t just snug, it’s a two handed, get my fingernails inside a little edge and pry it open. It’s completely unacceptable and probably won’t use it much because it really is that bad. I was told to keep working it but it’s not resolved. Hence, this should have been fixed and not sold to anyone else the minute someone reported it the first time. Quality control does not seem to exist. Anyway, I think people with mature skin will enjoy this palette (if you can open it).

I got this palette and immediately swatched it. Holy moley, it is beautiful. The thing that sold me on picking this one up was that Wayne made it to be beautiful on older eyes-at 57, that had me. I will say that I still can't wear the shimmers in the palette above my lid as the crepiness that haunts me still is accentuated, but I will say that it isn't as bad as some of my other palettes. That being said, if I wear it with the matte colors in the crease and the others on the lid, it is perfection. Perfect for every day, but you can build it and glam it up for evening. And can we talk about the black? It is subtle, if that could even be a thing, but it can be built up as well with almost no fallout which seems to be a consistent problem with black eyeshadows in my other palettes. The glittery cream color, as I read on another pre-review really is a grown up glitter. I would definitely not have any problem wearing it to my professional day job if that was the vibe I was feeling for that day. Did I absolutely need this palette?Probably not. Am I thrilled I have it? Absolutely. Another one out of the park for Mr. Goss. Oh, and I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the texture is obviously powder, but it almost feels like a powder to cream. It is THAT delicious and blends like a dream.

Don't underestimate this palette. The colors are basic but have a beautiful formula. I can see my self reaching for this every day. The formula is smooth and blends well and lasts for hours despite the heat and sweating. I had no creasing or fading on my hooded eyes. WINNER!!
33 found this helpful.Jessica S. Aug 03, 2020This palette is absolutely stunning. The textures are so smooth and easy to work with. I have created the quickest gorgeous eye looks for day and night in no time. It is incredibly user friendly. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a smooth and creamy look to the eye. I know this is going to be my go to everyday palette from now on. They remind me of my Tom Ford Cocoa Mirage with their perfect celestial shade. I love the huge pan size and the mirror. One thing...I wish the black pan was a split pan with a black a dark brown in one like in the Victoria Beckham palettes. Also mine is incredibly hard to open. I have to stick tweezers in and twist! I haven’t heard that complaint from anyone else so perhaps it’s just mine.
