A beautiful set alone or to complement other Goss brushes.
I have all of the Goss brushes because I think they're beautifully made, but even more importantly, because most makeup brushes, even if high quality, feel like rubbing sandpaper across my skin as it's quite sensitive to touch.
I was so excited to see a new set come out, and that it's something so different. No one makes brushes like this that are so unique and precise. I have a lot of makeup and love playing with it, but still struggle with some of the artistic & technical aspects of it. I just can't get a lot of the techniques and looks I see to look good on me. I really appreciate the precision and flexibility these give and am so excited to continue using them.
If one thing could be better, I just wish they had come in the cardboard cylinder like the previous sets. It's not a dealbreaker by any means though.

I already own most of Wayne's brushes plus most Sonia G brushes and a few Chikuhodo. Did I really need more brushes? I wasn't really sure, but after watching Wayne demo how to use these brushes, I felt they were different enough to merit my buying them. I was right! First off, these brushes are nearly as soft as his squirrel hair brushes but with better product pickup because they are goat. Second, the shapes of particularly the smaller brushes are amazing. The #5 is perfect for softly defining my crease and then diffusing the color over the rest of my lid for a quick eye look (I have a decent amount of lid space despite having slightly hooded eyes). Then the #6 is perfect for adding a bit of dimension to my lower lash line without any poking or scratchiness. The #3 is brilliant for applying the lightest amount of powder to set my under-eye concealer. It fits right under my lower lashes because of how it is tapered. The #4 might accomplish that task better for some people since it is smaller. I used to use the WG Airbrush (I think that's what it's called) to set under my eyes, but the more severe taper of this #3 brush allows for a lighter application and a less powdery look. The #2 is a beautiful multipurpose brush that applies powders, creams, and balms (haven't tried any liquids yet) with ease. It looks very similar to the WG #13 but has slightly longer bristles that don't appear to be as densely packed. The opening of the ferule is larger. Therefore, I find that the #2 from this set feels more flexible and glides over my 51 year-old skin more easily. My skin almost doesn't move at all under this brush. For that reason, I would guess that this brush is also less likely to disturb foundation if used for cream bronzer or blush. Overall, these brushes make me look like I am better at applying my make-up than I actually am.

As soon as I felt these brushes on my skin, I knew it was money we well spent. They pick up product beautifully, and distribute it evenly as you begin to blend it out. I absolutely love his #5 and plan on getting multiple should they ever sell them separately. I used each brush for my makeup application today, and I’m certain that I’ll incorporate these into my daily routine. These are beautifully made and have just the right amount of weight to them. Not too heavy, but not too light either. I’m always so impressed by Wayne’s brushes and he did not disappoint with this collection. You can see just how much work went into these brushes.

I have very dry and sensitive skin, I have a couple of chronic autoimune skin conditions and I had been having some problems with applying makeup since I remember. I usually take a very long time as I try to be as soft as I can with the application. I have been following Wayne Goss for a while and I truly admire him. I have heard that he had the best and softest brushes(previous ones). When I heard he was launching new ones I was completely surrender. My husband offered me as part of our anniversary gift. It was the BEST thing ever for many reasons: so so so soft it almost feels nothing touching your skin, but at the same time so precise and versatile, also I did my makeup in 5-10 min tops (usually took me>30 min), the eye makeup was much more defined and effortless with the brushes! I have also used half of the foundation amount as the brush was very effective in the application. Thank you Wayne, you are definitely the best! Just FYI if you could launch a case for them (I am pretty sure that lots of people would not mind to pay it separately to have it for this most special brushes - I definitely would buy one). Greetings from the UK 🇬🇧

My skin is awful to work with. I am a frontline HCP. I sanitize my entire testing and injection room between 100-400 times per day. I sanitize my hands at least 100 times per day. The mandatory sanitizer contains Hydrogen Peroxide which I am sensitive to. I also have to spray my N95 mask that I reuse with Hydrogen Peroxide. I am sensitive to Hydrogen Peroxide even before the pandemic. But to keep everyone safe, I bite the bullet, break out into cystic lumps/hives every single day, and I don’t complain. On my rare days off, I treat my skin and often it goes back to normal. However, it is dry, textured, flaky and oily. I love putting on foundation and make up on my days off. But foundation looks horrific no matter how many tips I tried. These brushes are so beautiful but soooooo expensive for me, although overall, they are not expensive at all. So I went for it. On the first try, my dew drop Surratt foundation finally stuck to my primer and skin. I dab it in softly with small little swirls. I use the pointed end to dab and spray the brush with setting spray which mixing the foundation with oil. I use Tatcha’s Canvas primer. And omg, I was so happy! Just the littles things can make me happy these days. Like breathing fresh air. Thank you, Wayne Goss for these life changing brushes. I cannot tell you how truly happy they made me by perfecting my make up. I tried again many times with the same results. Definitely, soft motions lead to no streaming at all. And the concealer is as actually silky smooth. I strongly strongly recommend these brushes.

From the Tea dyed original brushes to this latest release. That being said I of course had to order this set at release. The brushes are beautiful. I love the handles with the little loop like the Artist Series. They are so soft and all of them being candle shaped makes them easy to use. No excessive shedding. They wash easily and fluff up nicely when dry. If your a brush junkie like me though the shapes and sizes won’t be new to you. Several of the brushes are the same as ones in the main line. Brush 01 is the same as the Artist large only with goat instead of Blue Squirrel, 02 is the same as brush 13, 03 is the same as the Artist Medium only with goat and not Blue Squirrel, 04 is the same as Artist Small only with goat and 05 is the same as brush 16. Brushes 06 and 07 were the only ones I didn’t have an exact match with. All in all it’s a great set of brushes and I’m not disappointed with them. If you have yet to try any of Wayne’s brushes this would be a great starter set.
17 found this helpful.Stacey B. Jun 23, 2021These were a disappointment. They need to accompany fuller brushes (especially for cheeks) and should not be considered the only brushes you need. Eg the rephr 4,5 & 24 are better for blush & bronzer. I already have Chikuhodo highlighter & powder brushes so these were redundant. The main reason I gave them 3 stars is the handles. They feel cheap and light in my hand and don’t look like wood/lacquer. His previous artist brushes were beautiful. I might be missing the point of these… but I returned them and bought the new Sonia Gs instead (the liquid/cream set). I really like Wayne! But these didn’t do it fir me.
14 found this helpful.Debbie H. Jun 13, 2021I had not made a decision to who or what professional make-up brush line I was going to choose. The reason I chose Wayne is because of demeanor on his Social Media and then coming to Beautylish and reading his reviews of his brushes. So I decided to try one of his sets. And that is when I first purchased the Face Set, onto the 2 eye sets (one for my best friend), The Artist Collection and now the The Edit. They all are wonderful and I don't regret making this my professional line. I have one more of his set that I would like and plan to get when they return is the "The collection" and that would complete my brushes.

I already have three other Wayne Goss brushes (two eye brushes and also #10) but was wanting more brushes for my face, and did hesitate because of the price, I won’t lie. But I’ve had these for about a week now and am pretty blown away at the way these change the whole way I do my makeup (after 30+ years). I watched a couple of online videos about what each one is best for (including Wayne’s of course) and I think this is important if you are going to get the most out of these because I learned a lot from them and am using some of these differently than I might have otherwise. The best part of these, or at least what makes them different than almost all of my other brushes is the way they all (except #2) come to a very fine point at the end that allows an amazing amount of precision while still being very soft so that they pick up just the right amount of product (some brushes that come to a point like this tend to be firmer IMO). I was able to easily do a gorgeous eye with minimal effort and perfect blending, which has been a bit of a struggle over the past couple of years as aging has given me more hooded eyes and I’ve had to change the way I’ve always done them. I was also very happy to find a brush that could perfect my under eye concealer struggles; it’s been hard finding something the right size that also will buff it in to all the crevices without removing too much. It also doesn’t hurt that they’re just beautiful to look at and super soft, which everyone has been saying already. I just wanted to say that if you are on the fence and hesitating because of the price, that it’s totally worth taking the plunge like I did.
