Brush 03 Large Eye Shadow Crease Brush

The more I use this brush, the more I like it. It's soft and effective and does everything that I would have expected of it and more. It was lighter in weight than I was expecting but I don't see that as a reflection on the quality. I like it most for blending powder shadows. I waited a long time before purchasing the Goss 03 b/c (1) I was already using the Goss 19 as my blending brush (& lovin' it!) & (2) thought the 03 looked way too large for my smaller eyes. But finally my curiosity got the best of me & I went for it anyhow--SO GLAD I did! It's true that I could never use the 03 for 'applying' eye shadow b/c it IS too large for that (w/ my small eyes), BUT it serves as the PERFECT 'CLEAN' FINISHING BLENDER after I've applied all my shadows (lid, crease & brow highlight)! It's just as Goss says--you need a clean blending brush to blend it all out at the end so as not to 'muddy the water' & the 03 is absolutely perfect for just that! I now prefer the 03 over the 19 b/c it takes fewer strokes--to run it over the entire eye & tie the whole look together seamlessly! It's a gorgeous brush that feels great in the hand & the bristles feel like silk on the eyes! This will undoubtedly be one of my fav eye blenders of all times!

Don't worry, I'm only kidding -- this is just my fourth brush from Wayne's line. The 03 is such an easy brush to use for blending out any harsh details on my face (for instance, a cut-crease, a nose contour, a lip/browbone highlight. It really just lets you work at your own pace doesn't put you in an awkward situation (like blending the powder ALL the way away and micro-exfoliating your skin). I don't have many dupes for this brush, especially considering nothing is going to come close to the softness of Blue squirrel hair. The closest one I can think of is maybe my Hakuhodo J5522, and even then, that's white goat hair. Very soft, but still not as soft as the WG03. Additionally, the 03 appears to taper more to a point whereas my J5522 rounds out a tad more. I do not use this brush to apply product, so I don't have a lot of input on that. It just does such a good job of blending that I don't dare risk dimming its shine by subjecting it to an activity it may not excel in. Additionally, please be aware of the delicate nature of blue squirrel hair prior to your purchase. Blue Squirrel hair, unlike many of the other bristle types on the market, has the capability to absorb oils in your skin, foundations, and concealers, which over time, will cause damage to the bristles and can even lead to shedding and breakage. Please do not use this with creams and make sure the skin has been sufficiently powdered prior to use. This is a gorgeous and effective tool, and if maintained properly it will last you a very long time.

Ok I was a total Sigma addict till this brush. I own 3 and gave one to my mom. She called to tell me, it was the softest brush she had ever used and liked it so much I ordered her two different brushes from the eye collection. This is literally like the E40 on steroids!!! In my opinion its the best brush in the entire collection next to the duo fiber face brush and the Holiday brush (which seriously needs to be re-released cause its the most amazing face brush EVER.)

This brush is so soft...but I had to order it twice because the first one was scratchy. I'm glad I tried again, though, because it's my favorite for transition shade. This brush blends out shadow so softly and creates beautiful blown out looks. I prefer it to Sonia G's Blender Pro, which is soft but a lot firmer. Because of this brush, I bought the WG 4 and I want to get the 16 for comparison too. I'm addicted, I know! :)

I hesitated to purchase this brush thinking it would be too large for the eye area. I was totally wrong. It is the best blending brush for the eyes. I use it for shading transition and blending shadows. I also use it to blend nose contour and sometimes even for detail highlighting. High quality and worth every dime. I will be purchasing more from Wayne's line.

I got the Wayne Goss 03 brush in my Beautylish Lucky bag last year. I'm SO glad I did, because I don't think I would have picked it up on my own. It seemed like it would be too big for eyeshadow from the photos online.

However, it is easily my favorite crease brush. It deposits the perfect, diffused amount of color. It blends easily and can pull shadow out into the most beautiful v-shape. It's just a flawless brush. There is literally nothing I would change about this brush. It is perfect.

It's super soft. It's ethically made. It's an incredible price point for a handmade Japanese brush.

I love it and am purchasing a 2nd one for my pro kit. Wayne Goss brushes are a dream and this one is a must have!

I'm in absolute love with this brush. First of all It's super soft. I was used to my eyes watering a bit from blending shadows on the crease but that's all over. This brush has changed it all for me. I love using this just to blend. I don't like picking up color with it too much (unless I'm doing a sheer shimmery wash on the lids), I use it clean. The fine point does a great job of keeping the crease crisp while the rest of the bristles soften the edge giving you the most beautiful blend. A little trick I like doing is tilting my head back and laying the bristles flat against where I want to blend and going from side to side. Works especially well to blend darker colors into transition shades. I love it for precise highlight placement especially in hard to get to places like the cupid's bow and the space a little below the brows and down the nose. If you use bronzer to contour pick up a little bit of light grey shadow with this brush and blend right at the hollow. It will give you extra depth while still remaining natural. I mean the uses for this brush are endless. Simply wonderful.

I purchased the 16 thru 20 eye brush set and thought those were all I needed in my kit but, took a chance on this brush and am so happy I did! This brush has the pointed end so you get right in the crease with it, it lays down shadow so well, I just can't get over it. What a great edition to my Goss collection, it is a must have brush in the crease. It also blends out like the 16 brush, but keeps the color more concentrated for a beautiful effect on your eyes. Happy dance all the way around!

It really is the softest brush in my collection (over 50) and it really does blend your shadows so well like it smooths over the products so well. I thought it looked huge but it's the perfect size. First time buying from his collection but not last! Highly recommend if you're unsure just take that risk as others have said!
