Vitamin C Suspension 30% in Silicone is a creamy serum with vitamin C in a base of lightweight silicones for a smooth, spreadable texture.
This treatment brightens, hydrates, and smooths the skin's surface. It reduces fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation (such as dark spots and acne scars).
Apply a small amount to your skin in the morning or at night after toners and water-based products. Expect a slight tingling sensation during the first 1-2 weeks of use. If irritation occurs, this product can be diluted to reduce its strength. This product should not be used at the same time as niacinamide (vitamin B3).
DIMETHICONE, ASCORBIC ACID, POLYSILICONE-11, PEG-10 DIMETHICONE.

I personally don't get tingling or irritation, but for the first week my mother did and described it as uncomfortable, and possibly used some other words I'll not put in this review.....
Texture is smooth and flows easy due to the anhydrous base (water free) which is of course a silicone base. Very matte finish and would work as a primer for oily skin types.
Now let's get to the people complaining/sooking about the product being half empty...... *sigh* it's very, very, very obvious that the plastic tube it comes in is larger than 30 ml so it will *appear* visually you are getting less product.
Now.... 30ml is roughly a full "shot glass" and I can guarantee the tube holds more than that, I'd say around 45-55 ml.
(Once I've used it all I'll fill it with water and find out exactly for those playing at home...)
I don't know why the plastic tube itself is bigger than 30ml and I don't actually care one bit or loose sleep at night wondering!!!!!
Thanks from Australia.
I like 99% of The Ordinary products. I wanted to try this to brighten up my face and reduce some fine lines. I have used it once weekly since receiving it. It stings a tiny bit, and does slide around into the areas I did not apply it. I use barrier creams around my eyes and mouth for that reason. My skin is absolutely gorgeous the next day!! Will reorder for sure!
I am very happy with the matte finish of this product. However, my skin is a tad sensitive to the "tingling" sensation that is listed on the packaging. It feel more like itching than tingling. I'm hoping that my skin will get used to the product and the itching will stop. If you have sensitive skin, this might happen to you too.
So I do get the rather instense stinging after using this product but I normally follow it up with a moisturizer with spf in it as I apply this in the morning and that usually relieves the stinging feeling. After daily use for about a week I started to notice the brightening effect under my eyes and other dull areas. I love this product and will def be repurchasing. Believe me, I’m one of those skincare people that go in expecting something to not work but my results could not be denied one bit. I mean if other people are noticing, come on.
I've used the other TO vitamin c suspension and it was slightly stingy on my skin. This one doesn't have that problem at all and I love the silicon base for a nice matte finish. Unfortunately I won't repurchase this because as I found out the other day, sweat causes this stuff to stink like crazy. I wore this under makeup and it happened to be a hot day. My face started stinking like insanely bad.
In summary, this is a great product but doesn't suit my needs (I use vitamin C under makeup during the day).
Made the decision to buy this after reading the reviews and curse myself for waiting to buy this. This has helped clear my skin, alternating it with the Retin 1% solution during my nightly cleaning routine, better than other costly brands I won’t bother mentioning. I do notice that my skin tingles when i apply a dab but it goes away after a few seconds. I will be purchasing more of this and recommend this for anyone looking to clear up acne or age-related skin variations (I am 47).
