High quality set, love the density, usefulness depends on how you approach the application of your eye makeup and what style you like.
From L to R:
Similar brushes to Blender Pro when tried on my very hooded left eye and hooded monolid puffy right eye:
-Wayne Goss Eye Set #17 -Pat McGrath Blending Brush from Dark Star Lab Kit. -Sonia G Blender Pro (I love this brush!!)
Similar types of Builder type brushes applied to my eye shape:
-Chikuhodo GSN 9 -Sonia G Builder Pro -Sonia G Builder One
Similar types of Worker type brushes applied to my eye shape:
-Sonia G Worker Pro (Love this for my smaller eyes!!) -Sonia G Worker Two -Backup Sonia G Worker Two haha -Sonia G Worker One -Wayne Goss Eye Set #18
Similar Crease type brushes applied to my eye shape:
Almost all the brushes from Wayne Goss Eye Set are crease brushes but I picked the smallest of the set since it gives similar effect on my eyelids:
-Sonia G Crease Pro -Wayne Goss Eye Set #19
I added Smudger Two just to complete my own personal custom eye brush dream set.
Variations of Pencil brushes giving different line width, thickness and intensity of pigments on my eyelids:
-Sonia G Pencil One -Sonia G Pencil Pro -Wayne Goss #5 -Sonia G Crease One
Verdict: I’m assuming this is a solid set for pros to add to their repertoire where they constantly need to create hugely different eye looks for dozens of models backstage. Comfortably light brush handle and bristles that doesn’t irritate sensitive and thin eyelids. Dense enough for it to serve precise, detailed application.
For me, I already have plenty of brushes, so this set is excessive and overkill for what I need for my day to day average Jane makeup style that’s few galaxies away from planet Instagram editorial cut crease harsh look aesthetics.
There’s 2 particular standout from this set that I love and greedily considered getting backup: Worker Pro and Blender Pro if and when it’s available for individual purchase.

This set is just perfect. Each and every one of them.
Pencil pro and crease pro are my absolutely favourites. They are good for detailed work, pencil pro for inner corners and smoke out lashlines, and crease pro for precise crease defining.
Builder pro's bristles are slightly longer than my mac 239, so it packs on color while diffusing the color a little bit.
Blender pro is also great, well it blends while still maintaining in a smaller section compared to other similar shaped brushes.
Worker pro is the most versatile shape, very similar to my wayne goss 18 and hakuhodo J5523, but it is not as fluffy as the other two(smaller and flatter), provides precise buffing function, or packing, or cream products.
All of them are firm but soft to the touch, provide great control over shadow placements, fantastic for small eyes or those who like to do detailed eye looks. I thought this set is more suited for deeper set eyes/hooded eyes, but they work on my non-existent crease and almond shape Asian eyes so well, I am completely sold, I cannot wait to pick up more singles when they are available.
On top of all that, my purchase experience is quite enjoyable. I got a message from beautylish(of course I signed up for notice), I pre-ordered, and I received my brushes in 2 days. I got so excited that I inboxed Sonia G. herself and guess what, we talked more about brushes! How cool was that!

What was surprising was the smaller size -- only because the original eye brushes were rather wide and thick. Not to say that this set is of any less quality -- they're just as great.
The main difference I'd say is this set will allow for more pinpointed placement of color and shape -- because of the smaller size. I can create a nice up-lifted wing shape with my eyeshadow with the 2 brown brushes (Blender Pro + Builder Pro): one for placement and the other for blending that diffuses the shadow, yet keeps the shape in place because it is a denser and thus stiffer brush (but soft). I imagine you could blow the colors out more in a more controlled blending process.
The pencil brush -- I feel is very similar to another hakuhodo pencil brush. Still great though: it does what a pencil brush does and is also soft enough to drag and diffuse color.
The Crease Pro -- white pointy blending brush is like a mini of the brown pointy one. It's diameter is smaller than the brown one.
And white Worker Pro that looks like a mac 217 is very similar to the brown one -- just a tad less dense and so offers the ability to diffuse and blend color a bit more. (There's a Hakuhodo brush that's very similar to this...I think the J5523) For the Worker Pro, the tips can splay out a bit more than the brown one -- likely to blend and diffuse color a little more than the brown Builder Pro one.
Lastly, if you go to Sonia's IG -- her descriptions are spot on (obviously) in case you wanted to get a little more insight into this set.
The zoomed in pics of the brush don't really do it justice -- because honestly, it looked meh to me -- but after getting the set -- they are really a work of art.

This was my very first high end brush set and I CANNOT BELIEVE the difference it made when applying eyeshadow. It took my game to a whole other level. They are sooooo soft, easy to hold on to, and just so luxurious and stunning. I'm obsessed and now can't wait to buy more brushes from her collection. Worth EVERY PENNY👏👏👏

The pro eye set has the same superb quality as to SoniaG’s other brushes. Super soft but efficient hair. Stunning lightweight handles. And the brush heads are a perfect size and fit to apply products on the lids and lashline. This set makes it super easy to apply eye makeup like a pro. The builder pro picks up a lot of product, but applies the pigment with no fall outs. Blender pro blends softly and efficiently making me feel like a pro. Crease pro is perfect for my creaseless lids, applies pigment as if I have one. The pencil pro applies and smudges the pigment on my lashline with one swipe. The worker pro is an all-around brush, great as a laydown brush as well as a blending brush. As always, Sonia created another set of brushes that makes ordinary non pro makeup lovers like myself enjoy applying makeup like a pro 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

The brushes are denser than other brushes so I find it gives me very clean results. The blenders are already smooth and soft but these denser brushes will "bloom" and get softer and bushier. Outstanding quality and craftsmanship. Sonia G has earned the right to use authenticity stickers (by the Japanese Craftsman) now, so I was delighted to see those on the packaging. Delightful, down to earth woman, I wish her every success and hope she continues designing brushes, that I will inevitably keep buying.
16 found this helpful.Shari C. Jul 11, 2019So, I've always been a lover of all things beauty. I wore drugstore makeup from like 12 to 17. Then I started buying high-end from around 17 to 28. Then, I used my first Pat McGrath eyeshadow and started exploring the world of luxury makeup. My collection slowly phased out my high-end makeup and replaced it with luxury products. Then, one day, while applying my makeup, I looked down at my not-so-luxury makeup brushes and thought, "I should buy a Japanese brush or two." And then my furious research began. After weeks of reading and comparisons, I settled on this set. When I first beheld them, I was a woman changed. The pure artistry! The craftsmanship! The texture of the bristles made me feel like virgin angels had cut off their lashes to gift me the bristles. Then I used them... It was honestly such a joy to use these brushes. I wanted to cry at the way they flawlessly applied and blended my eyeshadow, the way the goat hairs felt dancing across my eyes. It was pure poetry. I've been using this set for a couple of months now and I've found that I have only reached for other brushes when I need something very specific; eyebrows, liner brush, ect. Which isn't often. These are the only ones I want to use, my others are cold and lonely and I will be passing them along. I can never go back! For someone like me, it's not very practical to own only 5 eyeshadow brushes, and I really want more Sonia G, so I will be purchasing the entire face and eye set. I might buy all the Worker brushes because I'm obsessed. That little workhorse does EVERYTHING and I want 10. Sonia G, you are a goddess. You've opened my eyes and I will love you forever.

Im a BIG SoniaG brushes fan. And thus set is not exception. Even though she says you need to wash it few times until it gets its best shape, i have enjoyed it from the first time i used it. Theres something so special about these brushes, but its hard to explain, its got this umph. When applying eyeshadows (any texture) with those brushes its much easier and fun and glides right where you want. Cant wait for the face pro set ......

I have all of Sonias eye brushes and just love them, so, when I saw this coming out I knew I had to have them!! I was a little surprised when I opened my box as the brushes are so very light in weight, I mean all 5 of them feel like 1 brush from the previous selection. So, I was a little disappointed in that. They just didn't feel expensive, if you know what I mean. So, I started working with them and they are so perfect. each brush does what it is supposed to do, they are excellent for eyes that don't have a crease, which are like my eyes. They are also good at placing color and then blending the color out. In fact, I think you could just purchase this set and the only other brush you would need would be the Worker II. I just wish they had been a little more substantial, which is why I would like to give them 4 stars, but the fact that they do so well in application I am giving them 5 stars. I love the feel of the older brushes, and this set they are certainly understated, and not as many hairs in each brush. So, all in all a great purchase. I look forward to more brushes in the future, hopefully face brushes!!
