Jumbo Base

I normally wear skin tints which I prefer to apply with my hands so I don't use a foundation brush. I bought the Fusion Series Set and this one brush was rarely used. Until one day I just went to play with it more and I found out that I really really love this brush for so many things.

I apply foundation and then smooth it with this brush. I honestly have really started loving just brushing it on my face for the happy massage feeling I get. Silly I know, but I love it.

Also great to blend out cream contour or bronzer. Or even blush. It's really versatile and surprising has become my most favorite brush of her series now.

I am loving the jumbo base brush!! Foundation application was extremely fast and easy with this baby. No streaking at all, no fallout so far and it is incredibly soft. I thought due to the shape I might have difficulty around the nose or chin and I'd have to buff those areas in with another brush, but nope no issues at all. Smooth application all around! 100% recommend this brush!!

Dream, dream, dream Brush. I have had the hardest time looking for foundation brushes. Many powder ones and I love Wayne Goss’Edit Collection but not great for liquids. I tried so many even Hourglass, Fenty, Rare Beauty, Wayne Goss Foundation brush (#2?) and Surratt Artist Foundation Brush. Each had a flaw but all of them could not get my foundation onto my face. I used all the you tube tricks too - moisturize, primer, powder, primer, powder, setting spray, etc. Concealer was a disaster also. Same issues with Powder foundation. So I thought I would never get to wear make up and look pretty ever. But Sonia G Fusion series is the best ever for liquid and creams. I have not found a single brush that helped keep the foundation on my face and be streak free without dry patches until Jumbo base and also Classic Base. I tried so many foundations before that I realized it’s got to be the brush that is the problem as my skin is now pretty great. All the brushes scratched my face even the synthetic ones. I had no idea what a good foundation brush felt like until now. This Jumbo base is out of this world. So super soft with zero scratch ones. Applies on so smooth so quick and so even. I get zero streaks and no dry patches. Like that’s all it took?! The right brush?! I can wear any foundation now it’s mind blasting. This brush is also great for contouring when you use the too edge. Takes less than 1 minute to get foundation and contour on. My life is complete now. Wayne Goss Edit for powders and Sonia G Fusion for Liquids and Creams. They complete me. I recommend it to anyone. My life is that much better now. Thank you Sonia G!

Well I just woke up at 2:45am (Australian time) for the restock of the Fusion series so... you better believe I bloody love this brush!! 🤣 In this restock I bought a 2nd Jumbo Base, Jumbo Concealer and Soft Concealer because they are THAT good!

This Jumbo Base is everything I have been wanting (and searching for!) from a foundation brush. For reference I have been using the It Cosmetics #7 Heavenly Complexion Luxe Complexion Brush and ummmm... safe to say it's been replaced by Sonia!

It is the SOFTEST foundation brush. NO POKES. NO SKIN IRRITATION.

It gets around ALLL the face features. No need to grab for a smaller concealer brush to get around nose, chin etc! This thing just MOVES with the features of the face so well.

It also gets the foundation on SO DAMN QUICK. AND FLAWLESSLY! I used to really take my time with my base, perfecting it and this just... DOES THAT but in about 1/4 of the time!! So streaking, no weird bits, it just goes on perfectly in no time at all!

This brush does not absorb product AT ALL. I can't believe how much further my foundation goes... I squirted out my usual amount of foundation (1 squirt of Charlotte Tilbury AFF) and only needed half to do my face and was like... wtf!? This brush picks up the foundation, puts it on your face... and keeps NONE in it's bristles! It's like magic!

Because it doesn't keep foundation in it's bristles it doesn't get as dirty as other foundation brushes I've used. Because the bristles don't get gunked up with product, I think I will need to wash it less frequently. I wipe off the bristles after use on a microfibre cloth, it releases a tiny bit of product and is good to go again! (obviously will still need to be washed to truly clean any bacteria etc out of the brush).

My verdict is that this is basically the soul of a beautyblender but in a brush. I don't use beautyblenders/sponges. I cannot stand the idea of the waste they create for the environment, I hate how much product they absorb and waste, I just bloody hate them. If you are a die-hard beautyblender/sponge person tho, give this brush a try. It's amazing.

Also, totally not what this brush is designed for BUT I have been using it to powder my face too. After I do my foundation I wipe the brush on a soft towel and then go in with my powder. I got the idea because it reminded me of a beauty blender and I know a lot of women who go straight into their powder with their beauty blender so I thought... why not try! I love that the powder goes on the brush and then on my face - It doesn't fly around so much and bother my nose (I get a runny nose from powder floating about)! The powder also really gets PRESSED and worked into my skin, and doesn't sit on top of it.

So yeah, basically I'm obsessed and will only use this brush to do my foundation from now on until forever, Sonia G better keep making these!

This brush is exactly what I needed/wanted and didn’t know. I own 3 other name brand quality brushes that I use to apply foundation. The MAC, BK Beauty, and Chikuhodo brushes are excellent, but this Sonia G outshines them all, in my opinion. I love the shape and feel of this brush. Every foundation I have used with the brush has provided excellent coverage and application. One more time Sonia G has shown me that her brushes can go up against any brand and outshine it. Amazing!!!

I purchased the entire Fusion set at launch and after using them for the last few months the Jumbo Base is my favorite. I’ve used it with many different foundations be it liquid or cream and it has performed extremely well regardless of what type of foundation I’ve used it with. It’s also amazing for concealer. It blends everything so well and has never left any streaks. Even after using the brush a few times before giving it a wash it’s never left a streak. That itself is pretty great considering it’s the rare brush that doesn’t need washed after one use. The brush also washed easily and retains its shape. No issues with shedding at all even after many washes. This is the brush I would recommend out of the set and if you can get your hands on one I highly recommend buying it as restocks for Sonia G brushes are few and far between.

Oh my goodness I absolutely love this brush for my foundations. I can use it with ANY kind other than powder. I have stick, cream you dip out an reg liquid. It works on all of them an it works well !! I am waiting for restock so I can get another one. If it’s in stock get it!! You need this brush!!

This is the most softest base brush ever, it blends all different types of foundation from stick to liquid to powder so seamlessly. So quick to blend and looks airbrushed.. I’m so happy with my purchase it is worth every cent!! Sonyas best brush yet...... love it!
