Fusion Series

When I bought the keyaki set, I absolutely fell in love with the mini-base. It has been one of my most used multi-taskers so I was thrilled that Sonia came out with a whole set of brushes based on that mix of synthetic and natural hair.

Keep in mind that I don't like to dip any of my brushes directly into the liquid or cream. I prefer to dot it on my face first and then go in with a brush. It gives me more control of how much product I use. It also helps keep too much product from going in deeper in the bristles.

Soft Concealer: This fits perfectly to do concealing around the nose and mouth. And under the eye. I really like this for putting on cream eyeshadow all over the lid. This is very large so if you have small eyes, this is really an all over type of thing for that.

Jumbo Concealer: This is denser than the soft concealer so I prefer to use this to blend out the edges, especially at the corner of my eyes. It works better for more stiffer cream formulas to buff them out.

Mini Base: I really like this for just an all around multi-tasker and I am happy to have two of them now. I use this for everything. I can use it for concealer, highlight, blush, blending edges etc. I fits around my nose and for the hard to reach places just fine.

Classic Base: I use this to buff in the foundation after applying. Because its bigger than the mini-base, this task gets done much faster with the classic base. It doesn't leave streaks and buffs to perfection my liquid foundations. It really helps them look even more skin like.

Jumbo Base: This is the one I use the least because I like to apply my skin tint mostly with my hands, but for the days I don't want to or use a more coverage, then this is perfect for that purpose. It helps me build up coverage in areas I want to. It isn't streaky like other brushes. I don't use a great deal of foundation and I like to dot it on my face before spreading it with this brush. Not sure if that makes a difference for anyone else.

I naively thought Sonia couldn't possible offer us more than she accomplished with her Fundamental, Eye, Pro Face and Sky series brushes -- but she did! The Fusion set is superb - beyond what I envisioned as her characteristic high quality products. I've been a Beauty Blender user for cream products forever - the BB blends flawlessly, no streaking as some of the high-end cream product brushes I have used in the past did. The fusion set blends so well, no streaking and does not move or disturb products applied first (cream blush & highlighter over foundations. The five brushes cover everything you need from foundation to concealer to cream eyeshadow. The brushes are dense so they do not absorb a lot of product, but they still have flexibility for precise applications and layering without disturbing previously applied products. To say the Fusion set is incredible is an understatement. Sonia created the perfect blend of brush hairs and fibers -- the blunt, rounded tops are perfect for blending, stippling, and buffing; the angle on the jumbo face brush works amazingly well with foundation, contouring, and bronzing; and, the longer hairs/fibers on the two concealer brushes provides the flexibility needed for seamless application of concealer & eyeshadow and the precision needed for smooth concealing of spots to cover up. I was on the fence post in terms of purchase - I had all of Sonia's other brushes with the exception of the Keyaki set -- I am trilled I clicked purchase -- these brushes are not redundant - they add so much value to Sonia's already exquisite brush series. Sonia is an artisan who thinks about quality and about application -- just love these brushes!

I want to preface by saying this is my 2nd set of high end face brushes (I do have a 3rd set, eyeshadow brushes from Sonia G) I received my brushes within a day of ordering them (I was on the website at 1pm, checked out at 1:04pm order confirmation within a minute) and used them today (I washed them the day I received them). Blown away - no exaggerating, not being dramatic. I was smiling using each brush, because the makeup was applying so flawlessly. Everything just looked so well blended, it went on with ease. The finish was seamless. Theses brushes (the brand overall) are worth every cent. I understand now what so many meant when they say the right brushes make the difference in application. Well made, beautiful mix of synthetic/real hair, incredible versatility with each brush & truly makes applying make-up a dream. The minute these restock, buy them.

Wow, Sonia knocked it out of the park with these. They have just the right density and flexibility to apply (and not soak up) both creams and liquids. So far, the classic base is my favorite to apply liquid foundation and cream cheek. I use the mini base for contour. The soft concealer is great for under the eye or around the nose or mouth. I do have to pick up a smaller brush for the inside corners of my eyes. The handles are beautiful and easy to hold. They feel solid. I recently wrote a review for the WG new set and the handles were a deal breaker for me. The domed shape makes blending easy. They wash well & dry quickly. In the photo, the top 5 are this set & bottom 3 are 3 other of her brushes so you can compare the size. I have lots of Fude brushes - but these are a great addition because they are expressly for creams/ liquids.

When I purchased this set I wasn’t entirely sure I even wanted it. I’m not a fan of synthetic brushes at all and it takes a really special Duo Fibre mix to get me excited. It’s the rare few I keep. That being said I was blown away by how much I love these brushes! Especially the Jumbo Base. I have been using daily since the set arrived in the mail. Out of all of them that is the one I would repurchase. Never leaves a steak and applied any foundation with ease. If you can get your hands on one I highly recommend it.

I love foundation brushes and I am always searching for new ones to try. Sonia G.'s Fusion Series is hands down the best brushes I have tried. I have heard of this brand but never took the plunge, I am so glad I decided to buy these. Each brush applies cream products like a dream; foundation looks seamless, concealer air brushed, cream contour and bronzer blend into the skin! I cannot wait to try more of her brushes!!

I have every brush she has ever created and love them all but I think these take the cake. I thought the biggest one would be a waste for me but I adore it. Honestly if you only had one from the entire collection...any of them..you could do your entire face with it if you were using creams or liquids. Sometimes when I am in a hurry I just use one of the set..the size doesn't matter as they all perform. Probably the best brushes I have ever owned! I always think that she can't outdo herself but she does. If you are a cream and liquid lover these will not disappoint.

I can’t even tell you how happy these brushes make me feel without tearing up. I’ve worked frontline for over a year and a half now and my skin is brutal and I never felt pretty or looked in the mirror for longer than a second this entire time. My face had welts, acne, blemishes, and dry patches all over. Lots of wrinkles too. But taking care of myself came last. Finally, in May? I had to treat and fix my skin myself which took a month or two. It’s fantastic now. Hardly any wrinkles and blemishes. It’s on the drier side but I keep it so moisturized. Still, foundation would not stick to my face. Brushes I used left streaks, lifted up and left dry patches, and most hurt my face. It was exhausting. I so badly wanted to wear make up and look pretty. I bought like 10 foundations. Uber moisturized my skin. Used all the You Tube hacks - primer, powder, primer, powder, setting spray. Same results. Until now. Nearly gave up on looking pretty with make up. Jumbo base and Classic base wtf?!! Where have you been!! Jumbo concealer and small concealer, how the heck?! My skin looks flawless, streak free with no dry patches with all 10 foundations I purchased. I love love love putting on foundation and concealer now. Each brush is so luxurious, silky, and smooth and it leaves my skin feeling the same way. I have to stop touching my face. I finally realize it is all in the brush. These are it. Thank you Sonia G for this Fusion Series that makes my life that much more bearable and happy.

I knew if anyone could create the perfect brushes for application of foundation and concealer, it would be Sonia. I love, love the way these brushes make my foundation look flawless, no streaking whatsoever. I normally use a pea sized amount of foundation, I do not like a full coverage look, with the Jumbo Base, I only need half that amount, yet the coverage is exquisite. No caking or streaks with the concealer brushes either. The Mini Base is great on the days I want to apply foundie on just specific area. Love them all!

This brush set is amazing, they are exactly the brushes i needed for my liquids and creams, they feel so lovely on the skin and you don't get any streaks because i think the blend of natural and synthetic fibres are just right, Sonia has produced another brilliant brush set
