This brush, like all of Sonia's brushes, is a multitasking masterpiece. It's very similar to the Cheek Pro but it's a bit thinner, longer and slightly more tapered. I used it today for my under eye powder, my contour, my blush and my highlight and it performed each task beautifully. So far, I think this may be my favorite Sonia brush for contour. It lets you get right in that hollow to give such a precise application and works amazing for contouring the nose. And since it is more tapered than the Cheek Pro, you'll get a more airbrushed application as it does alot of the blending by itself. I do still prefer the Cheek Pro for blush but this applies it beautifully. And(just like all her other brushes) ITS SO SOFT. Amazingly soft. When I first started using Sonia brushes, I ended up putting on too much of everything because they felt so good against my face, I couldn't stop applying makeup lol. They are honestly a joy to use. Here are some comparison pictures between the Designer Pro and the Cheek Pro

I am in awe once again with this designer pro! No dupe exists for this perfect face brush. Think of it As the WG Airbrush on steroids. It's is A bit stronger, a bit thicker, and can pick up and lay down harder pressed products beautifully! It isn't as delicate as the beautiful airbrush. Yet, still light and very very soft!! I'm SO HAPPY I bought it before it Dell's out!

Before this brush I hated my NARS blush. And not only. I was disappointed by most of the hyped cheek products out there, as I have tried different application techniques and they did not seem to work. And then I got my hands on this baby and now I love my products. They say Sonia’s brushes have a learning curve- well, the curve is a small one, as they do the job by themselves most of the time.

This is my first Sonia G. Face Brush and I kick myself for not buying them sooner. This brush is the "beefy" sister to the Wayne Goss Airbrush which is also a favorite. Its amazing. The hair is soft and non-irritating to sensitive skin. It picks of my jouer blush duo (harder pressed powder) like a dream. I may never go back to other brands. I'm in love with this brush.

I have small face and this brush lets me multitask with different kinds of powder products (blush, contour, setting powder, highlighter). When I purchased this, I'm not quite sure what to do with it because I have so many other Sonia G, Wayne Goss, Chikuhodo, Koyudo brushes.
After a few months of testing, I finally figured out how this brush works for my particular face and makeup needs. This is the brush I carry in my Esum brush book for all purpose travel brush for reducing travel bulk. Not sure if its the design of the ferule and how they bind the brush together, but this brush does not produce any kickups even when using some of my powdery product (with the recent one being the Chanel eclat du Desert highlighter thats extremely powdery). Whenever I need to switch from for example: contour to highlighter, I can simply dust it in my hands and the brush will be clean, leaving no trace of contour so I can apply my highlighter without worrying that it will leave brown streaks. When I applied my glittery highlighter (Pat McGrath highlighter trio) that has chunkier glitter particles, I can simply dusted it in my hands to clean the brush, leaving none of the glitter particles behind on the brush, ensuring my brush always clean to use on different product.
This brush tapered shape lets me know when it needs a wash because it will start accumulating residue (which is a mix of my moisturizer/natural face oil with whatever powder products) on its thinnest part of the brush, ensuring I will always have clean brush thats ready to do its job.

If you're looking for an all over fluffy brush for wide area blending, this is NOT it. If you're looking for a small fluffy tapered brush head that gives you precise blending and powder application in small areas, then this is definitely the brush you're looking for.
It's very soft and light. The size of the brush head is perfect for any of the Hourglass face palette. I use it to apply the Hourglass powders in their targeted locations (bronzer, blush, cheek highlight, under eye powder). It gives a soft finish and complements the Hourglass powders well and any of my other powders.
I would not recommend using this with any cream or wet products. Like many of the natural hair brushes, it can easily be cleaned by running it over a microfiber cloth/towel in between colors.
This is not something I'd use it I wanted to put on a lot of product and looking for some ka-pow pigment on my face. This is definitely my choice for a natural glowing finish.

Sonia G just knocks it out of the park honestly! I use this for under eye powder, specific powder placement in the t-zone. Soft high quality japanese craftsmanship! Love it. I also hope she continues to release brushes with that blue color too, or maybe purple oh that would be beautiful! Her new sky face set is a awesome set as well!
