My new fav brush ever!
This brush lays down shadow so well. It picks up the perfect amount of shadow and fits in the inner corner and outer corner of my hooded eyes so perfectly. I used to use the Mac 239, this is WAY better. I want to order the larger version next, as this is my favorite brush from Smith so far. All the Smith brushes I have are amazing and Im so happy to see them available at Beautilish. I have been paying for shipping from Canada because I want them all and can only order 1 or 2 at a time. Im so excited to place another order with Beautilish this time!

Smith cosmetics brushes are quickly becoming my favorite brand of brushes.
I love how affordable they are in relation to other brands within this range, and they just 👏get 👏the 👏job👏 done.
I love the handle size, the aesthetics, the way they feel in my hand.
This is a great soft brush for smaller eyes that works great for laying down products as well as smudging and smoking out the lower lashline. I absolutely understand why Youtubers reccomend them. They're just a solid brand of brushes. Definitely purchase brush guards with these after washing.

I was intrigued by the arrowhead shape of this brush, and after hearing several BGs rave about Smith brushes, I decided to purchase this as a first try for the brand. I'm not impressed. First, this brush is incredibly floppy and airy, which defeats the whole point of it having the firmer thicker bristles of pony hair and being able to really get into the shadow and grab pigment. It actually ranks one of the lowest in my collection of laydown brushes as far as depositing color. Second, the arrowhead shape doesn't translate to application on the eye all that recognizably since the bristles have no resistance. The thing is, this brush will be able to pick up un-problematic ultra-creamy shimmers just fine, but literally any brush in the world can do that. But Pat McGrath glitter pans? Forget about it, you won't find your tool for that here. The sensorial experience is also super average, especially because I've been spoiled by the other Japanese handmade brushes Beautylish offers. Set aside a few more dollars and purchase a Sonia G Builder brush, Hakuhodo J-series laydown brush or Chikuhodo GSN-9 instead.
Also I strongly disagree with another reviewer's assessment that this is way better than the MAC 239. The OG MAC 239, with its uber dense albeit a teeeeeny bit prickly bristles, is one of brushes that without fail will always deliver intense, fallout free pigment to my lids. I own a ton of fude that were supposed to be "better than MAC 239" dupes, and while some may be softer than the MAC, they don't perform the same.

I bought the 202 Microliner Brush, the 253 Arrowhead Laydown Brush Small, the 203 Micro Angled Liner Brush, and the 212 Tightliner Brush. I agree with the other reviewers in terms of their performance as brushes. However, the black handles are cheaply painted and the least bit of water exposure turns them from black to a milky, murky splotched up mess. Doesn't detract from their performance, but spoils the experience for me. I found some precision brushes by a company named Japonesque which are actually even better for precision work ... and they hold up just fine to water exposure.

This is a nice brush and it’s shape makes it unique that’s why I decided to buy a back up.. And it’s the same brush but you would think it wasn’t.. See photos. The brush heads are completely different. One is small and cut shorter the other is long and shaped larger.

I have small lids and hooded eyes. The arrowhead shape is so unique and really makes this brush work for my eyes. It's perfect for laying down shadow with precision. I waffled for months about whether I should buy this brush, and I'm so glad I finally got it.

I’m a MAC brush lover, and usually only use MAC. I figured I’d give Smith brushes a try, and I’m glad I did. The brush is perfect! The shape is great for getting into corners, and hard places. I’m definitely going to purchase the larger one on my next Beautylish order.
