Badlands Dry Shampoo Paste

I've actually owned this product for over a year now and man, you don't want to know how long it took for me to find it so I'm glad I can get it at Beautylish now! For the record, I originally bought it from my hair salon (disclaimer: I get a haircut 1x a year because I'm a l-a-z-y girl) and a little goes a long way so I'll let you use your imagination to decide how long I've owned it.

ANYWAYS. This paste! I usually spoon out a about a quarter size for my halfway down the back hair, which is yes, a paste like feeling (the top layer might harden up after a while, but don't worry, it hasn't turned bad, even if the part underneath is soft), warm up in between my hands then I like to finger comb through my hair to give it separation and texture. Sometimes I do use this as dry shampoo but it would have to be when I remember to use less than I normally do, as it can leave the hair feeling a bit gritty in the roots. Hence, why I like to apply it all over my hair.

It gives great hold, texture, and helps me keeping that wild and surfer girl hair I like to have even through the 2nd day before I wash my hair. It's one of the better texturizing paste products I've used and my hair is never ever oily with it either. I did knock off a star because sometimes I do not like the gritty part but alas, I'll have to remind myself not to go as heavy handed sometimes. You really don't need much!

Which reminds me now, after writing this, that I should probably get a haircut soon....

I tend to get greasy 2nd day roots but I have dark hair and most dry shampoos either leave a white cast, or stop being effective by mid day. But THIS? OMG, THIS! This stuff is freaking AMAZING. And besides the fact it takes away my greasy roots and gives me crazy good volume, it takes the TINIEST amount to do my entire head. I received a sample of this a couple of years back in a Birchbox but that was the only place I could find to order it and I didn't like their shipping and returns policy so I never pulled the plug on buying it. I even tried to save the last 10th of my sample to use for special occasions when I needed the best possible root volume. But then a couple of months ago I received another sample of this with my Beautylish order and I think I was more excited about seeing this in my box than I was with my actual order. THAT'S how good this stuff is and the fact it meant Beautylish was now selling it was the kicker that made me crazy giddy with happiness. I ordered it shortly after getting the sample and remembering how much I loved putting this on my roots for volume on freshly washed (and dried) hair. This stuff is truly a life saver to anyone that needs volume. I also love that this doesn't mess with my scalp Ph as I have a very sensitive scalp. Several of the volumizing powders I've tried in the past have given me itchy or flaky scalp to the next level. This doesn't! This doesn't even irritate it a little bit. In the photo I posted I have THIRD day hair going on. This stuff will KEEP its volume for a few days without needing to reapply each day. So not only is it a miracle product, it's extremely cost-effective and a true holy grail for this girl with long hair, greasy roots, and a finicky scalp. So I got a sample size of this along with my regular order. My hair tends to get a little greasy after like 12 hours, so there's NO such thing as day-2 hair for me. I've tried just about every dry shampoo I've ever seen, and they all make me feel worse than before. Powdery smell, visible, and doesn't make my hair look refreshed, just gross.

THIS STUFF IS AMAZING. It smells amazing, totally absorbs stuff and actually makes my hair look like I did something to it today. I'm in love. Will 100% buy the full size next.

I have found my self reaching for this more and more. I really Love to take little bit of this and warm it up with my fingers and massage it in to my scalp and roots! It gives my hair and clean volumized look, not the greasy weighed down hair I started with! I would definitely recommend trying this out and start with less is more 😊

First found this product from Katy—> lustrelux. This products , looks, smells,& feels good. I have thin hair and it gives me so much volume it’s freaking magic. I can use it on day 1,2,or 3 and it’s perfection. I recently chopped my hair short and this product makes my life so much easier styling.

I got a tiny sample several months ago with my Beautylish order. I use it a few times a week (when I remember), and it's the best. Great for volume, great for greasy roots/dark hair/perfection. I just love it.

So far I've used this a handful of times and when I received it was excited, because I have dark hair and most products like this leave a white cast. However, at this point this point this product is not one I'm going to be reaching for on a regular basis. It just doesn't work for me. It's way too heavy for my fine hair. Yes, the product smells terrific, but that's not enough for me to keep reaching for it.

I am sad to say this shampoo is just not for me. I like it to give me the feel of refreshment and like my hair to move. This shampoo makes hair so stiff, there is no way you could go through with your fingers. I can’t tell it gave me clean look also. Although I should say if you want an up-do and try to add volume, this may work.
