Perfect color, blendable
This powder is amazing! It blends so effortlessly and is the best contouring powder I have tried. I also have the Anastasia contour kit which is great, but for me, this powder is better. It is a bit small but a little goes a long way.

I recently got all three of the sculpting powders. So instead of doing three separate reviews, I'm going to do one review for all three. First one I'm going to talk about is the LIGHT shade. Wow this is just perfection on my pale skin. It looks kinda warming in the pan but once it's on your skin it's the perfect shade of light taupe beige. It truly looks like a shadow. I prefer to use this on my cheeks and jawline since I don't want that area to look like a beard. This is also excellent for a nose contour for lighter skin tones especially since the color is so soft.
Next up is the MEDIUM shade which is the most iconic. This is excellent for a wide range of skin tones. I find this one slightly cooler than the LIGHT shade but just barely. I prefer to use this color towards the back of my cheekbones for a bit more definition. I also use a touch on my chin to shorten my long face shape.
The last shade is the DEEP shade which is too dark conventionally for my light skin tone. But the way I love to use this color is on my hairline. I have brown hair and an uneven hairline so shading it in with this color makes such a difference. I could use eyeshadow but this color also has that taupe tone so it looks like a shadow. It fills my hairline and because it shades my forehead looks smaller. I just make sure to really blend with my WG Holiday brush. This color would look so amazing on deeper skint ones since it's got that bitter chocolate taupe color. They cost a pretty penny but they're worth it. Especially if you're a pro makeup artist, you'll have the most perfect contour shades no matter your client's skintone!!!!!!

I saw a YouTube where this famous makeup artist was claiming that this was the best contour powder out there. I had already bought one from another line and it came out too orange. Looking into other lines I found the same thing. I found that even though it is a bit pricey a little bit goes a long way and it gives a very natural look to the cheeks. I get complements all of the time from women younger than myself on my makeup so I must be doing something right!

While the cool tone of this sculpting powder is ideal for us fair-skinned girls, this product is an extraordinarily small size at 0.11 oz versus, say, the average Bobbi Brown eyeshadow size of 0.08 oz. Considering this product does contain talc, I see no reason to choose it instead of other low-to-mid range similarly toned blushes, bronzers and shadows.

Kevyn Aucoin never fails to amaze me. Don't be filled by the packaging size.. It does seem small and tempting to be upset about, which was initially my first reaction. I received my package after k came home from work, so I was not able to try out my new sculpting powder. The next day, I tried it on still annoyed with the size and I have to say the pigmentation is incredible. I only needed to lightly tap my brush into the powder, and I was able to instantly see how much product it picked up. This powder blends into the skin beautifully, without any chalky look or appearance. The color is a perfect matte, cool toned brown which is ideal for creating shadows. As someone with dry skin, I tend to avoid powder but I have to say that the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting powder is suitable for all skin types.

As far as myself goes, it depends on which foundation Im wearing. The Medium definitely suits my skin more than the Light. The Light reads too muddy and dirty on my skin with my undertone.
