Mimosa & Cardamom Cologne

Do not judge this perfume after the first spray. Wait until it dries down- maybe 45 minutes to two hours- to appreciate the true scent.

Jo Malone describes this cologne as a 'spicy splendor', and while the initial spray gives a warm spicy (that is where I smell the cardamom initially) scent, the spiciness dries down and you are left with a warm, deep, creamy milk, perfectly balanced hint of spice fragrance. There is a floral smell but it is not cloying sweet, it is warm sweet.

One word I would give this cologne is- warm! After taking a hot shower with your favorite milky soap, and you feel clean and fresh and 'warm'... that is this cologne to me. I have read many reviews where people have said they put this on before bed, and so do I because of that warm scent, AND because it smells SO GOOD after 8 hours!

I am hyper aware of wearing perfume around people. Some people, like me, cannot handle strong perfumes, or certain smells. With this I have no problem wearing in a group setting or having my two grandbabies cuddle really close to me for fear they or others might feel sick from the smell. There is no heavy, rich, sweet, candy, cloying 'sweaty ' smell!

Lastly, this pairs well with other scents. I have combined with a coconut and milk scent and the two paired are amazing!! I absolutely love this fragrance.

This fragrance brings me back to the country where I was born. It’s hard to describe but the best dupe would be heavenly by Victoria secret. I prefer Jo Malone because the quality and the fragrance has more “depth” to it if that makes sense.

French Lime Blossom has been my go-to scent for the last 12 years or so, but when the weather is cooler and I was something with a bit more depth and warmth, I reach for Mimosa & Cardamom. It's not too heavy, woody, or 'exotic' like most scents in this category-- I find it very wearable, even in the day or at work.

I gave this a try never having tested any of Jo Malone’s products previously, including this scent and WOW did I ever score! I agree with what reviewer Lisa S. said in that you shouldn’t necessarily judge this based upon the first spray. At first I wasn’t sure about it, but then as I let it sit with me I was blown away by how the scent evolved. This scent is strikingly unique in its crispness and subtle sweetness. Also, I appreciate how I can still enjoy the fragrance I enveloped myself in the morning at the end of a long day - she’s a hard worker, this one. I can hardly wait to give some of Jo’s other scents a try!

My all-time favorite scent. I don't like strong and heavy scent so this works perfectly. Can never go wrong with mimosa and cardamom

Doing reviews on Jo Malone is so subjective (for reference my fragrance combo is Wood Sage and Sea Salt cologne mixed with Blackberry and Bay). It just didn't react great with my body chemistry, it dried down into a too sweet scent. If you like the notes in it, I would definitely give it a try, Jo Malone are literally the only colognes I can wear without taking a claritin, you think they have no staying power but then you can smell them on your clothes the next day still. This may not have been my scent, but I definitely recommend finding notes you like, and I guarantee you'll love it when you find your perfect combo!

Really a warm, potentially intoxicating fragrance. I would agree with previous reviews whereas the initial spritz is "WoW" it minimizes and displaces rather nicely. SO much so that 8 hours later upon entering a hot tub I was reminded of the odor and it wasn't even bareely "too Much." I actually thought to myself, 'that's how good that fragrance is, it's delightfully pleasant.' Perfect for the winter months. My third Joe Malone Cologne and have been very happy with all purchases.

Pleasantly pleased with this cologne. It was long lasting, settled down to a more powdery scent. A great “nuzzling” fragrance.
