Velour Lip Liner

Whereas I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE everything JS...proceed with caution using this on your waterline. Not only doesn't it stay, it burned my eyes all day.

As far as a lipliner- beautiful but extremely drying in several of the shades I bought...not to mention it won't last long. Expect to sharpen with every use.

Again anything Jeffrey Star is over the top amazing. These disappoint a bit but will never stop me from being a loyal fan.

Never had a lip liner do this in my life. I put it on then put on my Leo liquid lip. It crumbled off. It clumps up and chafes of. Not a good experience at all. The lip liners launched last week. I was so happy my order got here so fast then this. I emailed Beautylish to tell them the product was not right . They told me they have not received anything bad yet. Maybe because I am one of the first to receive the first batch of these ? So I can only send it back. It will cost me more to send it as I am from Canada. Very disappointment, I am a huge Jeffree fan and have so many of his products. This doesnt even work !!

I received this today. I took it out to swatch it, tip broke right off. Ok, so I sharpen it and try to apply it again...broke! I love the color of this liner and the packaging, but for the money, this is disappointing and terrible. Especially as much as J.S criticizes others' products. I hope all the liners aren't going to have this issue. I wanted to love this.

I really wanted to love this Jeffree Star lip liner, as I'm a huge fan of him and the rest of his beauty products, but it is sooo dry! It goes on and instantly cracks. It feels like something is sitting on the lips and it skips around on the lip when you are applying. Then when you rub your lips together, it disappears from your lips. When you have the liner on and put on the liquid lip, it just becomes very flaky. I bought Unicorn Blood, Androgyny, and Calabasas and they all act the same. Now, I thought my lips may have been dry, but I exfoliated and moisturized and I still had the same results. The packaging is to die for, but I paid $16 on a product that I can wear not the packaging. Even the product inside the pencil is loose and you are for sure to lose some by sharpening as it will break. I do not know if I received a bad batch, but I'm very disappointed in this and hope it is addressed. For now, I'll have to stick to my $5 Colourpop lip liners.

Jeffree needs to change the formula. Too drying, crumbly & cracking. Hopefully the next batch of colors has a formula change. I don't see these being up to par with his other products and everyone seems to have the same problem. Disappointing.... because, he's been shady about other brands hyping something up so much and then not delivering....it's a shame he's done that with this launch. Hopefully there's a change for round two...

I want to start this by saying I love Jeffree Star Cosmetics, it is my favorite brand and I have almost all of their products. I have never been disappointed with any of them until trying these lip liners.

When put on lips they feel like they suck the moisture out of your lips even when I used with my velour lip scrub. Within and hour I noticed the liner cracking and flaking off. This happened with both Calabasas and Doll Parts.

I tried Weirdo on my water line and within a couple hours it was completely faded to nothing.

At first I wasn’t going to post this review thinking maybe I did something wrong as I am not very experienced with lip liner but after watching many reviews online of people having the same issue I decided to make this review hoping that maybe if Jeffree sees this he might rework the formula. I also am not someone who is able to spend a lot of make up I use beautylish for the flex payment options as this is how I have been able to keep up with all JSC releases. So to have something not work this badly I just wouldn’t want anymore else who may be spending more than they should on a product that isn’t amazing.

As far as the packaging and look I love it I just wish they performed better

Umm.. Bought directly from JSC btw. The worst lip liner I've ever used. Seems like he spent too much on packaging and not enough on the quality. I put some of these on the waterline and it burned so bad throughout the day. The quality itself on the lip is mediocre. There are so much better lip liners on the market. Just spend the extra dollars and get Mac lip liners... SO much better.

Brand new and not opened .. tried the mannequin liner and was horrified ..pls refund .. I haven't even opened celebrity skin. Tried mannequin twice terrible crumbled within 5 min. So disappointed

So first time I ordered a JS lip product. I'm very fussy with lipliners (I find they almost all dry my lips out), but I thought for 16$ I'll give them a go. I got the shade Calabasas and it's my perfect shade. For real. I'm now thinking of getting the liquid lip and ammunition one for my collection. So this lip liner just came in 30 minutes ago, and I already have opinions on it. First of all, it's VERY VERY soft. So expect to sharpen every time you want to use it. It is crumbly as well, but just don't press too hard when applying. Also, it is drying. Which will make it last longer, but for me it accentuates every line on my lips (I am turning 38 this Friday). The packaging is gorgeous and on lipfiller lips (and super smooth natural lips haha) it will probably look fantastic, but for me it's a pass. Will keep it on my vanity since it looks so nice though!

I am very disappointed with this formula. This is the first Jeffree Star product I have ever disliked, and I have been a customer since the Beauty Killer palette. All 4 liners I purchased are dry, and they crumble. They were creamy upon applying but a couple minutes later my lips felt horrible. I used the velour lip scrub first, the same result. Then I pressed in the Bite blam into my kips, same crumble, dry, cracking result. I am speechless that this formula is like this. I purchased Posh Spice, Dominatrix, Mannequin, and Leo. I put them aside to try them today since I was getting frustrated. I put on my full beat hoping the liner would turn out better. I used Leo, and applied the Leo velour liquid lip. It was good for maybe 5 minutes. I took a drink of water, it ALL crumbled off, and my lips felt horrible. I swatched all 4 on my hand and rubbed them and they all crumbled. I am so afraid to try them as an eyeliner, I think they would crumble into your eye.
