Better than Laura Mercier. Worth the extra cost.
All you have to do is research the ingredients list of this product to understand why it’s priced the way it is for the amount that’s offered. It’s plexiglass (Laura Mercier) free and smells absolutely scrumptious without fragrance. You know how that is? Maltol. Maltol is what gives this powder a cotton candy cupcake aroma and that’s absolutely genius. I can’t handle most fragrances on my skin because it sets my face ablaze but this is completely non irritating and the uplifting aroma just makes the experience of using this amazing product all the more pleasurable. So not only is this finely milled powder blurring, mattifying without drying, non irritating and composed of mostly simple ingredients, it’s an olfactory delight. A lot of thought and heart went into this product and it shows, which will invariably be reflected in the price. This is a treat in the truest sense of the word and I will continue to treat myself by repurchasing again...and again and again...You get me.

Disclaimer: I'm a JS fan but I'm also a hardcore makeup lover who's pretty blunt about everything. Move along if you want to read a rave review--this won't be it.
The powder is soft and finely milled. It's also not drying which I quite enjoy. The smell is definitely that of cotton candy which I neither like nor dislike. However, I do not enjoy this product enough to keep it. Listen: I ordered this powder in several shades and I was able to swatch each shade without having to remove the seal. This means that this product is not tightly sealed on the edges, and hence powder goes all over the place every time you open the product. Another thing to note is that, as another reviewer has mentioned, you aren't getting a lot of product for your money here. 0.353 oz for $22 isn't much considering that Laura Mercier's translucent powder, for example, is $39 for a full ounce. That means you would have to spend $66 on JS powder to get that same amount of product. Personally, I don't mind splurging on makeup. I buy makeup even just for the packaging--but this not only looks cheap, it also feels cheap. The packaging is so lightweight and almost feels like a drugstore product in looks and feel. No offense to JS fans--I do love his concealer but I'm not a fan of the powder.
TLDR: Buy this if you don't mind good quality powder that's messy, overpriced, and feels cheap packaging-wise. It's a great product but as another reviewer had noted, not revolutionary.

First of all I love everything Jeffree Star. This powder is pretty and really soft. It does look nice on the skin but I don’t think it’s as blurring as I hoped. I’m extremely picky with powder because I have larger pores I want something to really blur. This powder definitely is nice I feel like it’s close to the Lancôme long time no shine powder. I am a little disappointed in the amount of product you get it’s on the low end compared to a lot of other powders. One thing I don’t like is the turn closure on the powder, I think it was a nice idea but unnecessary. When I dump the rest of my unused powder from the cap back in it just gets really messy. That’s the only thing I wish would change one it.

The translucent is super brightening not totally translucent though. I am having no issues with the packaging. The scent is AMAZING. I would say go for it. It's finely milled super high quality and the "drug store" comments below are clearly from people who have not actually tried it or are trolling because this does not feel like anything from the drug store I have tried ever. Super smoothing high recommend. I also ordered the fair and thinking of getting beige but not sure if yellow will look good on me.

I love the way the product smells and works. I can't give it 5 stars because the product leaks from the packaging. It doesn't seal properly, It literally comes out of the top side where the seams meet, if that makes any sense? When it arrived and I pulled it out of the box it made a huge mess, and you can't toss it in a makeup bag because it gets everywhere, so it's kind of a counter top only product. The actual formula is amazing, but hopefully they can fix the packing design.

It’s a beautiful color, I can’t really sense a smell (it’s supposed to smell like cotton candy) but it was already open when it arrived today like someone lifted the tab but then stuck it back on...I’m not sure if that would have made a difference scent wise, I’m kinda afraid to wear it because the tab was clearly off the product... there was powder everywhere I’m super bummed about it :(

I got this..and was a little afraid, bc there was powder all over the top when I took the lid off ..maybe do it over the sink? But the paper was in place..so, idk. But I like the faint smell of Cotton Candy, and the packaging is really cute.. I wish one side didn't have the softer, so you could put the powder back, if you dump too much. I'm kinda disapointed that the contents is small, and this doesn't look at all like a rose shade? I like the pretty pink powder by Ben Nye, but all that aside, my skin looks FLAWLESS!! I do recommend!! It's very light weight, and I only used a very small amount, and it just looks good!! Great job! Lately his stuff has been somewhat hit or miss, but this is a HIT!

It came with product already out, like someone else mentioned, and it has no real way to get the powder out without making a mess. It does not smell like anything. It feels like it would go on great, but it doesn't at all. It's a basic drugstore powder, not for setting or illuminating, it just looks incredibly dry once it's on the skin. I tried a million different ways to use it (beauty blender, brush, setting, baking) nothing worked. I feel like these are all extra product and just packed cutely but not functionally. There are so many better powders out there, not sure where this fits in.

I haven't tried too many loose powder from high end before. Cover fx, bare minerals, too faced... But Jeffree's one is probably the best one because of the fineness and softness of the powder. You don't really see your face covered with powder. I just don't know how to describe it. It is affordable, classic jeffree design and nice scent! I love it!
