I'm Ambivalent
Let me start by saying that I love the packaging. Total Luxe.... There are just things that come straight down to preference, and this is one of them for me. The highlighting powder can be deceiving because it looks like a translucent powder with a bit of shimmer in the pan, but when it hits the skin, it is unmistakably gold; it's so gold that it made me jump back a bit. With this highlighter, I agree with Samantha H., a little goes a very long way. On the the plus side, it s very easy to blend, and if you apply it very sparingly, it's quite lovely; conversely, if you apply too much one has the potential of obtaining Jill Masterson's look in Goldfinger quite easily.
The bronzer? Meh, sorry..... I found it did nothing for my skin tone. It is however, one of those very rare bronzers that would be suitable to contour with if you have a skin tone ranging from fair to light/light-medium. The use of this bronzer on a true medium to medium deep skin tone would be useless in my opinion. I much prefer my Kevyn Aucoin bronzers in Tropical Days and Tropical Nights paired with his Celestial Powder in Candlelight. I can certainly see why people like this palette; however, it just does not make me squeal with joy.

I had to have this when I saw it on Wayne Goss's channel and I love it! It was definitely worth the price + shipping from the UK. I'm so glad this line is now more readily available in the US!! The bronzer here has a great color, not too orange/red toned which is great. And the highlight is gorgeous! Both have a smooth application and very pigmented--a little goes a long way so use a light hand! Definitely a go to in my collection!!

I have a medium African American skin tone with yellow undertones (think a little like Jada Pickett-Smith) and I tried Filmstar because I've watched all of Charlotte Tilbury's tutorials and searched the net for every review I could find for some one (found a few british black women reviewing other products) people with a similar skin tone, to see if the product would work for me! I didn't find any, so I took a chance!
Well, I do like the product a lot, if the bronzer were just tad deeper for added definition in the hollow, I would be ecstatic about the product! I love the fine milled consistency of both products (bronzer & highlighter) and I do get a very subtle definition from the bronzer, because it is so close to me skin tone, it would probably show up more, if I used it a little like a blush, sweeping it to the hollow;to draw the eye there. Black skin has lighter and darker tones to the skin, so often times the hollow is already naturally a little darker going toward the jaw line.
I also have to use an angled stiff brush and get a fair amount of bronzer on the brush for it to show the effect that I'm use to. However, the highlighter , is the star for me. It is beautiful, (I usually use Nars Orgasm on top of my cheeks and Benefit highlighter on my forehead and nose/a light cream champagne colored stick) but CT's Filmstar gives a true lite from within glow, without looking too glittery and matches my undertones perfectly (because my natural undertones are yellow) and I used it in my t-zone, (top of cheeks, nose, bow and chin) and my skin is a little dry, so I can't wait to see what it looks like when paired with the Magic cream.
I've had the product for a few days and I may eventually get use to the ever so subtle look of the bronzer and never go back to deeper tones, I never thought I could live without my deeper lip pencil definition either and have since fallen in love with CT's Iconic nude for the invisible definition it gives my nude lip.
Overall, I will repurchase Filmstar, if only for the highlighter

I was really excited to try this however I was extremely let down. Since Charlotte Tilbury is a makeup artist you would think she would understand the struggle of finding colors dark enough for deep skin tones. At my darkest I am NC45 at MAC which is my shade right now during summer. However the sculpting powder shows up as a light gold/brown sheen on the skin that looks like a highlighter. During the winter this might be dark enough. On a positive note the actual orange/gold highlighter is divine and of course the powders are silky and finely milled however I don't think its work the money for darker skinned women unless you want to pay $68 for two highlighters. If you have a medium skin tone this product will probably be great for you.

This palette is so beautiful and glowy! I have been tired and my skin has been lifeless, but when I put this on for the first time, I looked like I had been outside on vacation for a week.
I wasn't sure if the color would be too orange for the bronzer (especially to use for contour, as Charlotte recommends) but it was perfect and blended really flawlessly. It's great as a contour shade or as a bronzer. And even though it looks like it has a lot of shimmer in the palette, when it goes onto the skin, it gives a subtle glow effect. It's very elegant (both the makeup formulation and the packaging) and I can imagine would look great on everybody.

The colors in this palette are beautiful. As an artist, it truly fits every skin tone as it is not too tawny and not too red. As a consumer, the packaging is so beautiful its the only palette I want to carry with me. As a result, my go-to quick everyday look now consists of the obvious contour in the hollows of my cheeks, highlight leading into my temple along with a quick wash of color over my entire eye lid with the highlight and ever-so-slight definition into the crease with the contour shade. To add depth, simply add a tightline of liner (Try Charlotte's Rock N Kohl), a dark shadow in the outer corners and smoked out under the bottom lid, and a few layers of mascara. You can't go wrong.

I've been using this for pro job since the minute I was able to get my hands on it! I love it! It's so beautiful and revives skin in a subtle glowy way! I feel like it's the perfect JLO glow if you turn it up but it's the perfect "refreshed" "vacation" glow if you use it in a subtle manner. I've put this on a range of skin tone from very fair to quite warm and it's just stunning. With a very dark skin the highlight can pull ashey if the skin isn't properly prepped and to much product is used. This is my number one CT product that I think everyone needs! And the packaging is just stunning looks and feels lux!! Thanks Beautylish for making this available to us in the states!!

I was pleasantly surprised with this product. I agree with other reviewers that the packaging is luxe. Really classy. I'm quite fair (MAC N4 or Chanel BR12) and this is nice. I agree that if you have a medium or darker skin tone, this may not show up well. I am enjoying this bronzer and find it quite pigmented, so I need to use it sparingly. The highlighter is definitely gold, but it still works. I have used the highlight under my eye where I have a sunspot that's difficult to conceal and this reflects the light beautifully and makes my eye are look more awake. It's not too frosty and I don't consider this to be glittery. I'm excited to try more of CTs products (also got the mascara and a kohl liner that I need to try!). Oh, and I have the sculpting brush. I should add that I can't use that with the bronzer or it applies much too dark / heavy, but works great for the "glow."

This can sculpt your face pretty good and the highlighter is pretty good. Finely milled pricey but worth it. I say this is more for light to medium skintone I wish she made another for deeper skintone. I use my real techniques sculpting highlighting brush works well but I did buy her brush I should receive it today I cant wait. It has shimmers but not noticeable to the skin. Packaging is awesome.
